What is my IP Address? is a web site you can use to find out what is your public IP address.
Many times I hear people tell me that their IP address is 192.168 something something. While that is correct, it is only your local IP address. Most of the time that is not the one you want to use.
Since many people don't run "DOS" commands well anymore, I recommend the above site to find out what their public IP address is.
Sub-titled as "The Computer and the Rise of the Sciences of Complexity" the book is still current, even if it was written 20 years ago.Complexity sometimes is represented by a story in this 300 odd page survey of how computers have changed the sciences. Picasso is mentioned on pg. 163. In response to being asked "Why he doesn't draw the way people are?" He responded "Isn't she a little small and flat?" after looking at a picture of a man's wife.
